A Revolution in Two-way Communications

While it might appear that LTE and PoC radios are 'just another radio' (if indeed you have ever heard of the technology!) unfortunately that would be a big mistake - especially if you need range as one of the main features for your new radios. You see, there has been a quiet revolution going on and if you just had a simple cursory glance you might never have learned about the LTE PoC radio importance. It has brought two way communications right in to the 21st century with features and benefits that are not available on any other radio type from anyone.

This is LTE and PoC Radio
Features abound of course, but a key aspect is range; and LTE PoC radios by design have almost a worldwide range! They are also built on a different technology, as well as DMR technology (that is available on other handsets) that offers so many advantages that they are hard to believe they are all included in such small and compact designed hardware handset. Examples of LTE units and some of the features include (for an Entel device example):
- Fully Redundant EU hosted tier three+ data centre
- Multi-network 4G EU roaming SIM
- AES-256 encryption by default
- IP68 protection: to a depth of 2m for 4 hours fully submersible
- Three watts output of crystal clear audio with high volume
- Calls that do not suffer from latency (delay) that are equivalent to DMR quality
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS included on the device
- E-PoC PC Dispatcher with GPS tracking available optionally
As can be seen on this short example above, the technology offers many aspects that are either not available on regular handsets, or the pricing structure limits the feasibility of choice of some models. Many customers are not always familiar with the features or how those features can help their company so it's useful to talk with experts at Long Range Systems UK. Of course there are some drawbacks to LTE PoC too though. To achieve that incredible range there is a cost albeit a small one. The devices need a sim card, and that card works with the underlying LTE infrastructure.
In the case of the Entel LTE unit, it uses Entel's data centre's so they make a small charge monthly. However, there is no radio license to pay and that can offset the sort of minimal charges for the sim card and its use. These type of radios are here for the long term and we can guess that customers will see more and more features being added over time to enhance the technology well beyond where it is today.
