Warranty for Two-way Radios

Does Warranty Even Matter?

Warranty can be a mute subject - especially from some dealers. We have always thought (and customers agree) that the warranty is a very important aspect of the buying process ... why? well, whether you have problems with equipment later or not, it's rather like insurance. Go and check the cost of 'buying' an independent two year warranty and you will quickly see that the 'included' warranty does indeed have a value.

Some Dealers Hate Warranty ... But Why?

When you buy equipment that your company depends on most customers agree that it's pretty critical to keep the communication equipment operational; and who wants repair costs for new equipment? While there is a warranty on all of the equipment we sell at LRS UK, some dealers sell low cost products, and some of them will even tell customers that equipment is 'great' when they are fully aware that there are some major flaws in the equipment or range or it might simply be illegal with no real European CE standards except a nondescript sticker! Unfortunately sometimes it's not great for customers and some of those kind of devices only carry the warranty of the seller. Imagine buying your communications from someone like that, then the dealer goes in to liquidation! The result is equipment that is likely to be subject of sending it back to China or other far east country, if there is even ANY other warranty from the manufacturer - often there is not. Some sellers love short warranty because it reduces their liability and they can charge for repairs.

Long Range Systems UK Loves Warranty!

When we take a look at ANY brand that we sell, that brand has to get past LRS first! If there is some 'dodgy' warranty offered by any manufacturer or distributor we will not take those devices for sale. The fact is, taking on equipment that effectively short changes customers is really not acting in the customers interests! At least that is the way we see it. Thankfully every brand we sell has a minimum of 1 year manufacturers warranty and the majority of manufacturers these days offer at least two years warranty. Even if LRS UK ceased trading those warranties still apply and customers could easily still get warranty service. However, it is unlikely that we will cease trading any time soon having been in business since 1989.
